About Maia
Writing can be really difficult and discouraging when the words aren't flowing and it feels like all of your ideas are jumbled up in your head. On the other hand, producing a piece of writing you're proud of is an incredibly fulfilling feeling. With me, you can get from the former to the latter. I will take the time to listen to your concerns, read your writing and help you produce something you're proud of. Whether that means small tweaks to your writing or completely reshaping an essay, every session will be tailored to your writing needs! Please note that while we will get to know each other during the first session, I also provide regular tutoring during these lessons and thus do not provide free first sessions.

During these lessons I will read through the students writing and provide feedback and suggestions on tone of voice, grammar, flow, and formatting. Personal essays, bibliographies, research papers, and writing of all kinds are welcome! I am very experienced in using APA format, however if given enough notice I can refresh myself on other formats such as MLA and Chicago to ensure I can help students with all their writing needs.

We had Maia provide tutoring for each of our kids and we could not believe the results. She was kind, patient and highly tuned in to specific needs of each child.
