About Ashlyn
I have a BA (Hons) in Natural Sciences (Materials Science) at the University of Cambridge, where I ranked in the top third of my cohort last year. I have tutored extensively at the secondary-level during sixth form, and have since offered consultation on the Oxbridge admissions process - which is less scary than you think it is! (Trust me!)
The interview is not just a test of intelligence, but also examines your problem-solving style, which is often a hard concept to grasp. I teach how to structure your responses effectively, even if you have no clue how to even approach it!

Typically, lessons will start with a recap of the previous lesson and any questions. Then, I will move on to explaining concepts. I find it is helpful to have active back-and-forth discussion here to really identify what problems the student might have. Finally, I'll usually close with a summary of the lesson and a sneak-peek into the next session!
I draw on years of experience both as tutee and tutor, and strive to explain concepts from various angles to really hit the right one!
I tutor GCSE Maths & Chemistry, and Oxbridge admission consultations for the ESAT entrance exam/interview prep.
