About Malia
I hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry and have spent the past 5 years teaching students at various academic levels. My background includes both classroom instruction and one-on-one tutoring, giving me the ability to adapt my teaching style to different learning preferences and needs. I believe in making chemistry less intimidating and more logical. My approach is built on simplifying concepts without losing depth. I always encourage students to explore the why behind each reaction, not just memorize facts. This method helps students retain information and apply it effectively in exams and labs. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy reading scientific literature and experimenting with simple lab techniques to stay sharp. I bring current scientific developments into the classroom to keep my lessons relevant. My passion lies in helping students build a strong foundation in chemistry and gain confidence in their abilities.

I specialize in teaching Organic Chemistry and Chemical Kinetics, which are often seen as challenging topics. I use visual aids, reaction mechanisms, and step-by-step problem solving to make these subjects approachable and understandable. Lessons are interactive, with plenty of examples and opportunities to ask questions.
I also provide full support with academic tasks—helping students complete lab reports, understand complex assignment questions, and prepare thoroughly for exams.
