About Tamie
"You can expect a teacher who views music as a lifelong pursuit. My 13 years of instruction include posture and hand position, rhythm and timing, and scales and arpeggios.
I help students navigate chord voicing, dynamics and expression, and classical repertoire. Pedalling technique and music theory are essential components of my work.
Piano is my primary instrument. Working with 31 students has refined my method of teaching pop and contemporary styles. I hold a BMus Vocal Studies from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama."

"Honestly, I prioritise a free trial lesson to map out goals before we begin. Since I earned my BMus degree, I bring a structured yet flexible viewpoint to our sessions. We will spend time on your specific technical needs. I find that focusing on the mechanics of your playing leads to better results over time.
You should bring your favourite pieces to our first meeting. We can see where your current skills align with the repertoire you want to learn."
