About Tessa

My teaching approach to violin combines creativity, integrity, and collaboration to help students thrive. I believe that music is a form of self-expression, so I encourage students to explore their unique style while mastering the fundamentals. Each lesson incorporates real-life examples and case studies, showing how violin techniques apply in various musical settings, from orchestras to solo performances.

I emphasize a strong foundation in music theory, ear training, and improvisation to develop well-rounded musicians. By collaborating with students, I tailor lessons to their interests and goals, whether they want to play classical pieces, jazz, or modern songs. I prioritize open communication, ensuring that students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and challenges. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students can build confidence, enhance their skills, and enjoy their musical journey. Together, we will work towards making each lesson engaging and impactful, allowing students to reach their full potential.

I take pride in celebrating my students’ achievements, whether it’s mastering a difficult piece, preparing for a performance, or auditioning for music programs. Many of my students have gone on to participate in school orchestras and music competitions, showcasing their hard work and dedication.
