About Patrick
My name is Patrick, I'm 22 years old, and I'm currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science at EPFL, after completing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science there. I'm fluent in French and English.
As someone passionate about mathematics, computer science, and anything related to logic in general, I love understanding why things work. These are subjects that a large majority of people dislike, but for one simple reason: they're often poorly taught because everyone learns differently, and that's precisely where I come in.
For the past three years, I've been a student teaching assistant at EPFL, where I help Bachelor's students demystify the complex concepts they're taught.
My goal: to transform "I didn't understand anything"; into "Ah, but actually, it makes sense!".
Teaching is a passion of mine, and if we can make it clearer and more effective, while adding a touch of enjoyment, I'm all for it!

As a Master's student in Computer Science at EPFL and a student assistant for several years, I'm used to explaining complex concepts to students with very different learning styles. I enjoy logic, well-structured reasoning, and those moments when everything finally clicks.
My approach is simple: understand how you think, then adapt the explanation, not the other way around.
I offer math and programming lessons, tailored to all levels, in French or English.
In math, I can help from the most basic level up to the end of high school: algebra, analysis, functions, derivatives, integrals, probability, mathematical logic, or simply reinforcing the fundamentals. The goal isn't to memorize formulas, but to understand the reasoning behind them (yes, they do make sense, I promise!).
In programming, I support students of all levels, from beginners to advanced programmers, in Python, Java, Scala, C/C++, and Bash. Whether you want to learn to program from scratch, understand a course, write cleaner code, or pass an exam, I adapt to your goal.
My course is primarily designed to be interactive; we ask questions, we make mistakes, and we progress! I want you to leave satisfied.
