About Yang Chee
19 Years of Industry Insight: Learn from a Global Creative Director
I am a professional Creative Director and Graphic Designer with nearly two decades of experience in the design industry. I hold a B.A. (Hons) in Communication Design from Limkokwing University, and my career has been defined by a passion for visual storytelling and strategic branding.
My Professional Background
Throughout my 19-year journey, I have had the privilege of working as a freelance Creative Director for a diverse range of market leaders, including:
- International Powerhouses: Leading design initiatives for the global brand Castrol.
- Japanese Industry Leaders: Crafting visual identities for Musee Platinum.
- Local Success Stories: Directing creative for Malaysia’s No. 1 residential solar panel brand, Verdant Solar.
Why I Teach
I believe that great design is a combination of technical skill and "design thinking." My goal is to take the complex world of professional design and make it accessible to everyone. Having taught design workshops for both corporate training environments and universities, I have developed a knack for identifying exactly where a beginner might get stuck and how to move past it with confidence.
