About Bikram
I'm Bikram Upadhyay — a Full Stack Developer and Lead Developer based in Sydney, currently building AI-powered platforms and headless e-commerce systems for early-stage founders.
Right now, I own the full delivery cycle across two active products: an AI-powered local discovery platform using AWS Bedrock, Lambda, and pgvector — and a headless multi-vendor marketplace built on MedusaJS with Stripe Connect and Algolia search. Everything I teach, I'm actively building with in production.
My stack is Next.js 14/15, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, PostgreSQL, Node.js, Laravel, and the AWS ecosystem (Lambda, CDK, Bedrock, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3). I hold a Master of Information Technology and have worked across software companies in Sydney before moving into lead development and freelance product work.
I teach because I genuinely enjoy breaking down complex, real-world systems into something a motivated developer can understand and apply. My approach is direct, project-based, and always grounded in how things actually work in a production environment — not how they work in a sanitised demo.

What You'll Build — Not Just Learn
This isn't a tutorial course. Every session is built around shipping something real — a production-grade, deployable application using the same stack professional teams use in 2024 and beyond.
What we cover:
Full-Stack with Next.js & TypeScript
App Router, server components, API routes, middleware, and end-to-end type safety with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS — you'll write clean, scalable code from day one.
Database & Backend Architecture
PostgreSQL as your production database: schema design, migrations, relationships, and pgvector for AI-powered semantic search and RAG pipelines. No toy databases.
AWS Cloud & Deployment
Lambda functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge, and CDK for infrastructure-as-code. You'll deploy and own your cloud stack — not just push to Vercel.
Real AI Integration
Integrate AI models into your applications using AWS Bedrock (Amazon Nova, Claude, Titan), not just API wrappers. Build features like semantic search, content generation, and intelligent recommendation systems that work in production.
Third-Party Integrations
Stripe, Algolia, affiliate APIs, government data APIs — you'll learn how production systems connect to the outside world.
How lessons work:
Sessions run 1.5–2 hours and are project-driven. You code along, we debug together, and by the end of each block you have something working and deployed — not just notes. The pace and depth are adjusted to where you are, whether you're transitioning into full-stack development or already building and want to level up into cloud-native and AI-integrated systems.
