About Irene
My musical journey includes studies with renowned accordionists such as Iñaki Alberdi (BA - Musikene) and Stefan Husson, culminating in a Master’s degree in Music Performance from the Hochschule für Musik in Würzburg. I have enriched my training through masterclasses with world-class performers including Mie Miki, Claudio Jacomucci, Friedrich Lips, and Veli Kujala, among others. Throughout my career, I have been honored with scholarships such as that of the Spanish Association of Artists and Performers, and received recognition at the prestigious Arrasate Accordion Competition in 2017. Alongside my performing career, I have taught in both conservatories and music schools, including the Professional Conservatory of Valladolid (Spain), the Professional Conservatory in Barakaldo (Spain), and the Andrés Isasi School of Music (Spain). These experiences have allowed me to guide students of all ages and backgrounds, from their very first steps to advanced training.

Since 2015, I have been teaching accordion and music theory, later founding The Accordionist Music Academy to reach students worldwide. My lessons adapt to each student’s goals, offered in multiple languages and enriched with both traditional methods from masters like E. Cambieri, G. Fugazza, and V. Melocchi, and contemporary approaches from Ari-Matti Saira, Eleonora Santo, Gotzone Higuera, and Ricardo Llanos among others. I teach both children and adults, blending professional techniques with playful approaches to make learning engaging. Students of all ages and levels are welcome — from complete beginners to advanced players. Many students have been awarded in prestigious competitions, a testament to the effectiveness of my teaching.
