About Senna
I’m a passionate Maths tutor with over 3 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Mathematics (MMath). What truly drives me is not just solving equations, but exploring the rich history and evolution of mathematical thought. I find deep joy in tracing how ideas in mathematics have developed across time and cultures. From ancient Babylonian number systems to the genius of Indian mathematicians, I love uncovering how different civilisations shaped the way we understand maths today. I regularly bring the stories of famous theorems, like Pythagoras or Fermat’s Last Theorem, into my lessons. These narratives turn abstract concepts into meaningful journeys, showing students that maths is much more than numbers on a page. I believe understanding where ideas come from adds depth and wonder to learning. I guide my students not only through problem-solving techniques but also through the cultural and intellectual pathways that brought those techniques to life. My teaching style blends historical insight with modern understanding, creating a vibrant learning environment. My teaching approach in Mathematics is nurturing, playful, and highly personalised. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my methods to match their unique needs. Whether we are solving equations or exploring patterns, I create a space where curiosity is celebrated and mistakes are part of learning. Along with core maths topics, I also guide students through logic puzzles, game theory, and recreational mathematics. These subjects not only sharpen thinking but also bring fun and excitement to learning. I help students see how maths connects to everyday life—be it budgeting, planning, or understanding patterns around us. I often include games, stories, and real-life examples to make lessons enjoyable and relatable. As a gamer myself, I bring that same energy into my sessions to make learning feel like an adventure. I also work closely with parents, offering support and regular updates, so they feel confident in their child’s progress. My goal is to help students grow more confident, curious, and capable. I don’t just teach them to solve problems—I teach them to enjoy the process. Together, we build a strong foundation, and I help them excel with enthusiasm.
