About Olivia

My teaching methodology for Guitar is built on time management, self-awareness, and reliability, ensuring students develop consistent habits and steady musical progress. I help learners set clear goals, structure their practice routines, and manage their learning time effectively so they can grow with confidence and discipline. I also emphasize self-awareness in every session, guiding students to understand their strengths, identify challenges, and reflect on their musical expression. This helps them build a deeper connection with the instrument while improving technique, creativity, and overall musicianship. I provide clear guidance, structured lesson plans, and dependable support throughout the learning process. Along with Guitar, I also teach related subjects such as Music Theory, Composition, and Ear Training, offering a complete and well-rounded musical learning experience.

I am a highly skilled Jazz Guitar Instructor with 9 years of experience teaching high school and college students, helping them build a strong foundation and a deeper connection to music. My approach centers on creating a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to explore, take risks, and grow confidently as musicians. I work closely with each learner to understand their goals, interests, and musical influences so their journey feels both personal and inspiring.

My lessons are fully customized to match each student’s style and needs. I cover essential topics such as technique, improvisation, theory, composition, and expressive playing, ensuring a balanced and comprehensive learning experience. Through detailed guidance, practical exercises, ear training, and creative exploration, students learn not only how to play the guitar but also how to communicate emotion and musical ideas with clarity and confidence.

I combine structured lesson plans with dynamic, hands-on practice to make learning both disciplined and enjoyable. This method ensures steady growth, long-term improvement, and a genuine love for music that lasts well beyond the classroom.
