With 11 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Guitar, I specialise in preparing students for competitive music exams, scholarships, and auditions. My lessons are designed to help students excel, combining technical mastery with musical expression. I have successfully guided students into prestigious music schools, supporting their growth as confident and accomplished performers. Each lesson is structured and goal-oriented, ensuring steady progress while maintaining discipline and focus. I create personalised strategies tailored to each student’s strengths, challenges, and musical goals. Sight-reading, improvisation, and performance skills are integrated into every session. I emphasise practice techniques, tone development, and stage presence to prepare students for real-world performance demands. I focus on helping students develop both skill and musical expression through guitar. My lessons combine technical practice with mindfulness, showing how music can be a tool for focus and relaxation. I emphasise slow practice methods to build precision, tone awareness, and control. Breathing with rhythm is incorporated to connect the body with the music and improve timing. Students explore different styles, from classical and jazz to rock and acoustic, to find their unique sound. I guide learners to play with feeling, not just accuracy, encouraging creativity in every session. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether mastering a piece, composing, or performing. I use exercises that develop both technique and musical intuition. Interactive role-playing and improvisation help students build confidence on stage or in the studio.
