1. The Anatomy & Tuning
Before playing, you need to know the "strings." From thickest (top) to thinnest (bottom), they are:
E – A – D – G – B – E
(Memory trick: Every Amateur Does Get Better Eventually)
2. Proper Holding Position
The "C" Shape: Keep your thumb on the back of the neck (middle) to give your fingers leverage.
Fingertips: Use the very tips of your fingers to press down, not the pads.
