About Brianna
I hold a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, a field that has given me a strong foundation in both advanced mathematics and its practical applications. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have used math daily—whether analyzing data, solving complex equations, or applying mathematical models to real-world problems. This experience allows me not only to teach the mechanics of math but also to show students how these concepts connect to real-life situations. I work with middle school, high school, and early college students, offering support in courses ranging from Pre-Algebra and Algebra to Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus and SAT prep. Because I understand the challenges of learning math at different levels, I tailor my teaching style to each student’s pace and goals. Whether a student is catching up on fundamentals, preparing for exams, or aiming to excel in advanced courses, I provide structured guidance, clear explanations, and patient support to help them succeed. As a tutor, my goal is to make math less intimidating and more engaging by breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable steps. I focus on building both problem-solving skills and confidence, so students not only get the right answers but also understand the why behind them.
I start by identifying each student’s learning style and current understanding, then tailor explanations to match their needs. I use real-world examples, visuals, and step-by-step walkthroughs to make abstract concepts concrete. I encourage active problem-solving rather than memorization, helping students develop critical thinking skills.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
- Quick review of previous material to reinforce retention.
- Introduction of a new concept with clear explanations and worked examples.
