About Jude
I recently graduated with a Master's degree in physics from the University of Southampton, and subsequently I am looking to help others understand this fantastic subject. While my teaching style may be casual and friendly, I believe that this approach is the best way to approach building a real understanding of the subject.
I find patience and clear, intuitive explanation to be sadly lacking in the modern teaching environment - many maths teachers just assume that all their students can automatically follow along with their own personal obtuse methods of understanding, but I seek to find an explanation that works for each individual.

I prefer an understanding based approach to mathematics. Rather than wrote-learning formulas and trying desperately to get by without really knowing what you're writing - what I call "wading through the fog" - I find that developing a tangible and intuitive understanding of maths and physics is much more productive. While this is my first foray into professional tutoring, I have lots of experience helping my brother, sister and their friends through GCSE and A-Level maths and physics, using my intuition and analogy based approach to foster true understanding. Maths doesn't have to be a memory game! That Eureka moment is extremely rewarding!
