About Lauren
I’m an energetic and creative Studio Art and Communications BA graduate with experience teaching art and developing curriculum through Studio Institute. I specialize in oil and acrylic painting, guiding students of all levels to build skills, confidence, and their own artistic voice. My lessons are hands-on, interactive, and tailored to your goals, whether you’re mastering brushwork, exploring color, or tackling a new project. I also have an MA in Public Media, and I bring an encouraging approach, making learning enjoyable and helping each student feel inspired and supported as they grow as an artist.

My lessons are designed to help artists of all levels explore and develop their skills in oil and acrylic painting. With a BA in Studio Art and Communications, and a MA in Public Media, I bring a unique perspective to teaching. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your technique, I provide personalized guidance that focuses on color theory, composition, brushwork, and layering. Together, we’ll work on projects that inspire creativity and keep you motivated while strengthening your technical abilities, helping you build confidence and find your unique artistic voice.
I tailor each session to your goals and interests, whether that’s experimenting with new styles, mastering realism, or creating expressive, abstract works. Lessons are hands-on, interactive, and encouraging, with step-by-step guidance and constructive feedback to help you improve while enjoying the process. By the end of our time together, you’ll have not only polished techniques but also a deeper understanding of how to approach your art with intention and creativity.
