About Gloria
Hi, and welcome. My name is Teacher Gloria, a 30-year-old seasoned English Tutor from Southern Africa. I am a native English speaker and I hold a 120-hour TEFL certificate. I have 3+ years experience teaching English online and I am very passionate about teaching. I love teaching because I love bringing a positive change in people's lives. I have taught students of all levels, from Beginners to Advanced. I teach kids, teenagers and adults. I specialize in Conversational English, Business English, Travel English and English for kids. Whether you want to prepare for your examinations or interview, or you just want to improve your English for general conversations, I will make your learning journey easier and fun. I use props, charts, flashcards, videos, music and pictures to make my classes more fun and engaging. I also use Total Physical Response where necessary. In my classroom, you will also learn about grammar, articulation, pronunciation, new vocabulary and any other goal you may have in learning English. My hobbies include: reading, exercising, cooking, hiking and traveling. I love meeting different people, and experiencing various cultures. I have great communication skills, I am professional, punctual, reliable and very welcoming. I can't wait to see you in my class.

Not only are my classes personalized and engaging but they are also flexible and goal-oriented. It's a safe environment to learn because you are allowed to make mistakes and mistakes help us to learn and grow. In my classroom I use books, articles, flashcards, videos, games and different activities to make my classes more fun and engaging. I also use Total Physical Response (TPR) to improve learning efficacy, when appropriate. Additionally, I employ Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) which promotes clear and meaningful communication.
