Hi! I'm Himanshu, a Master of Computer Science student at Victoria University of Wellington and a Software Engineer with over 4 years of industry experience. I have worked on real-world software development projects using Java, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Rust, databases, and cloud technologies. I believe learning should be simple, practical, and enjoyable. My teaching style focuses on building a strong understanding of concepts before moving on to problem-solving. I encourage students to ask questions, think logically, and practice with real examples instead of just memorising answers. I adapt each lesson to the student's learning pace and goals.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although I can adjust the duration if needed. Each session includes concept explanations, worked examples, practice questions, and time to clear any doubts. I also provide tips and exercises for students to practise independently.
I have experience teaching Python programming and helping students with programming fundamentals, object-oriented programming, data structures, and problem-solving. My professional software development experience allows me to explain not only the theory but also how programming is used in real-world applications.
My lessons are suitable for beginners, school students, university students, and anyone who wants to learn programming or improve their coding skills. Whether you're preparing for exams, starting from scratch, or looking to strengthen your programming knowledge, I'll help you build confidence and achieve your learning goals.
