About Martin
I am a Canberra-based alto sax player, and pianist and chorister (baritone, tenor, countertenor). I am 18 and don’t have a degree, but I play in multiple big bands and sing in multiple choirs (half of these groups require an audition or invite). Teachers often ask me to lead sectionals or help out other students as my music theory knowledge is well grounded and practiced. I specialise in helping beginners, but am able to lead more experienced musicians on the creative journey they desire

My teaching method depends on the student/s. I will use the things they already know as building blocks off of which to build greater understanding. Giving regular encouragement and positive reinforcement where it helps, I like to nudge (or sometimes push) the student/s in the direction where they should be going to help them discover new things and expand their horizons.
