About Charlotte
Hi! I’m a UK-based marketing professional and freelancer who absolutely loves helping people "get" marketing. Whether you’re a student trying to make sense of a textbook or a business owner feeling overwhelmed by social media, I’m here to make things feel a lot simpler (and even a bit of fun!).
I’ve spent years working in the heart of the UK’s digital marketing industry. My day-to-day involves everything from building brand strategies to running live ad campaigns, so I’m not just teaching theory -I’m sharing what’s actually working in the industry right now. I know what it’s like to face a blank page or a confusing spreadsheet, and I’ve developed plenty of tips and tricks to help you get past those hurdles.

My Approach to Tutoring
I believe that marketing is best learnt through doing, not just reading. My teaching combines academic theory with real-world industry application. Whether we are dissecting a brand's strategy for an A-Level Business exam or setting up a live social media campaign for your business, my goal is to make complex concepts feel simple and actionable.
I use an interactive, conversational style - no "death by PowerPoint." We’ll use digital whiteboards, live website audits, and case studies of brands you actually know and use.
Typical Lesson Format
Length: I typically recommend 60-minute sessions for students or 90-minute "deep dives" for business owners and professionals.
The First 10 Mins: Reviewing previous work or addressing "sticking points."
The Main Session: Focused learning on a specific topic (e.g., SEO basics, The 4 Ps, or Email Marketing strategy).
Wrap-up: Creating a "mini action plan" or providing practice exam questions to work on before our next meet.
Experience & Qualifications
I am a professional Marketing Specialist and Freelancer with over 10 years of experience working in the UK marketing industry. I have managed budgets and strategies for brands across the professional services sectors (accounting, solicitors, financial businesses), start-ups, and women-led businesses.
Academic Background: I have a bachelor's degree in Professional and Creative Writing & English Literature, and I'm due to graduate from my Master's degree in Creative Writing in summer 2026.
Industry Expert: I don't just teach the syllabus; I stay up-to-date with the latest digital trends, from AI in marketing to the latest social media algorithm shifts, and I've built a wealth of industry experts in my close circle.
Mentorship: I have experience coaching junior staff and business owners to help them understand the "why" behind their brand and business.
