About Remon
I'm Remon, a business strategist and researcher with over 13 years of experience working with Fortune 500 brands and building companies. I hold a PhD Research Methodology qualification (Cum Laude, top of my class) and a Master's in Psychology of Education from the University of Johannesburg. My professional career includes strategic consulting for global brands like Unilever, General Motors, PepsiCo, and GlaxoSmithKline. I also co-founded a B2B SaaS startup that was acquired by Mailchimp in 2020, where I served as COO. We were selected for Techstars Atlanta and won the IIeX Europe Innovation Award, the first African company to achieve this. Currently, I run my own strategy consultancy in Johannesburg, advising businesses across pharmaceutical, automotive, and technology sectors. I've delivered over 250 projects across 48 countries throughout my career. I'm passionate about teaching because I remember struggling with abstract business concepts at university until someone explained them using real examples. That's what I do, I make business and marketing practical and understandable. I'm a native English speaker (also fluent in Afrikaans), 40 years old, and based in Johannesburg. I'm patient, professional, and genuinely enjoy helping students succeed.
