About Mark
Experienced secondary science teacher at schools and colleges specialising in A-level physics and GCSE science. I have a first class degree and PhD in Physics. I have a PGCE and am fully DBS certified. I am the current head of physics at an outstanding secondary school. I am also a former lecturer at Durham University with experience teaching students of every level. I offer well structured lessons, broken down into understandable sections with clear examples. I am an experienced online A-level physics and GCSE science tutor. I offer bespoke lessons tailored to the needs and pace of the student. I am friendly, patient and experienced teaching neurodiverse students. I offer visually interesting, clear interactive slides with questions and answers. As well as exam questions and slides as homework afterwards. I focus on key skills and terminology tailored to the exam to maximise success.

Perfect! As a current science teacher Mark has hands on experience with a full grasp of the curriculum. Mark also has a calm and patient teaching style which my son has really benefitted from - indeed, he's already moved up a grade on his most recent Physics test and that's after just 4 weeks' tuition. Mark is an excellent tutor. He has fantastic subject knowledge (including a PhD) and he can skillfully explain science and maths very well to students of all abilities. He is an excellent teacher and a sympathetic and dedicated professional with the highest academic standards.
Mark has tutored both my son and daughter. He is always very positive, friendly and professional. Both my children have enjoyed his tuition. My son is key stage 3 and he is always keen to show me what he has learnt. My daughter sat Alevels and passed them with his support, getting into her chosen Uni! Mark has also always been flexible for us, which is greatly appreciated.
