As a senior at the University of Miami, I’ve balanced a demanding academic schedule while working hands-on in a fast-paced environment, which has taught me the value of preparation, adaptability, and communication. I take the time to really get to know my students, understand how they learn best, and create a space where they feel safe, supported, and proud of themselves. I always strive to build confidence while making learning engaging and stress-free. Teaching Methods & Techniques: I use a mix of structured practice, real-life examples, and interactive activities to keep students engaged. I break down complex topics into manageable pieces and reinforce learning with repetition, positive reinforcement, and creative exercises. I also like to check in frequently to make sure students truly understand rather than just memorize. Typical Lesson Plan: Each lesson starts with a quick review of previous material, followed by a fun warm-up (like a short spelling game or writing prompt). Then we dive into the main skill for the day, whether it’s grammar, reading comprehension, or ACT strategies. I always end with a recap and a simple takeaway the student can practice during the week. What Sets Me Apart: I’m a soon to be graduate of the University of Miami with real experience working with children across age groups. I’m extremely patient, reliable, and passionate about education. I create a safe space where students aren’t afraid to make mistakes, ask questions, and grow at their own pace. Who My Lessons Are For: I tutor students from PreK to 8th grade in all core subjects, with a focus on English skills like writing, spelling, and reading.
