About Mariam
I grew up in Germany and am a native German speaker, now based in the UK. I have extensive experience working with adults from different backgrounds, helping them build confidence in new skills step by step.
I understand how intimidating it can feel to speak a new language, especially if you’re worried about making mistakes. My approach is patient, encouraging, and focused on helping you communicate naturally in real-life situations.

My lessons are designed to help you start speaking German from the beginning, even if you have no prior experience.
I focus on practical communication, so you can use German in real situations rather than just learning theory. We will work step by step at your pace, building confidence as we go.
A typical lesson may include:
• Speaking practice from the very first session
• Useful vocabulary and phrases for everyday situations
• Pronunciation support to help you sound more natural
• Gentle correction and guidance without pressure
• Optional structure if you prefer it more organised
I adapt each lesson to your goals. Some students prefer structured learning, while others want relaxed conversation practice, and both are completely fine.
If you feel nervous about speaking, that’s absolutely normal. I create a supportive environment where you can practise without fear of making mistakes.
