About Jing
I am a Mandarin teacher based in Auckland, New Zealand, dedicated to helping learners build confidence in using Chinese in real-life communication.
I hold a PhD degree from China, a Chinese Teaching Qualification Certificate, and a Level 1-B Mandarin Proficiency Certificate. I am also a New Zealand Permanent Resident, ensuring long-term availability and teaching stability.
I currently work as a part-time Mandarin teacher at CNSST and am studying Psychology in AUT. This combination of academic and teaching experience helps me better understand both language learning and learner needs.

My lessons are designed to be structured, practical, and easy to follow, with a strong focus on helping students actively use Mandarin in real communication.
Each lesson typically lasts 50-60 minutes and follows a clear structure: 1. Brief review of previous content； 2. Introduction of new language in a clear and level-appropriate way； 3. Guided speaking practice through dialogues, role-play, or real-life scenarios.
The lessons are interactive and adapted to each student’s level, learning goals, and pace. I adjust the content depending on whether the student is a beginner, improving speaking skills, or focusing on specific goals such as daily communication or workplace Mandarin.
Homework or practice tasks may be given when appropriate to reinforce learning between lessons.
My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults, from beginner to intermediate level, with a focus on speaking, pronunciation, and practical communication skills.
