About Hema
Hello! I’m a passionate Computer Science teacher with 8+ years of teaching experience in Cambridge and international school environments.
I have a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Technology, a B.Ed., and an MBA, with a strong academic and professional background in technology and education.
Before moving into teaching, I worked in the IT industry, which gave me valuable practical exposure to programming and technology. I then chose teaching because I genuinely enjoy helping students understand concepts and discover their own abilities.
I teach programming in C, C++, Java and Python, along with Excel formulas and functions and other Computer Science concepts.
My teaching style is practical, patient and student-centered. I believe that programming becomes much easier when students understand the logic behind the code rather than simply copying programs.
I especially enjoy helping students who initially feel that coding is “too difficult.” We break problems into smaller steps, understand the logic, write the code together, debug mistakes and gradually build independence.
Whether you're completely new to programming, struggling with Computer Science at school, or looking to strengthen your coding skills, I can help you build a strong foundation and become a more confident programmer.
