About Lucy
Hi! I’m a dedicated student and varsity lacrosse player with a passion for helping others learn. As someone who has ADHD, I truly understand that everyone learns differently—and that struggling to understand something doesn’t mean you’re not smart. It just means you need someone who gets it and can explain things in a way that works for you. I bring patience, creativity, and real-world strategies to my tutoring sessions. Whether it’s breaking down tough concepts, staying organized, or building confidence, I aim to create a space where students feel supported and motivated. Balancing academics and athletics has taught me how to manage time, stay focused, and work hard—skills I’m excited to pass on to others. I know what it feels like to be stuck, and I also know how great it feels when it finally clicks. I’m here to help make that happen for every student I work with.

As a young tutor, I bring a fresh perspective and a deep understanding of how challenging learning can be—especially when something just doesn’t “click” right away. Having ADHD myself, I’ve experienced firsthand that not everyone learns the same way. That’s why I’m passionate about meeting students where they are.
I focus on making learning more accessible by adapting my teaching style to fit each student’s needs, whether they benefit from visual aids, step-by-step breakdowns, interactive exercises, or just someone patient to guide them through it. I strive to create a supportive environment where it’s okay to ask questions, make mistakes, and keep trying until things make sense.
My goal is not just to help students understand the material, but to help them enjoy learning and build confidence in their abilities.
