About Kacelyn
I have been passionate about music from a young age, and this passion led me to begin teaching piano during my university years. Over the years, I have had the privilege of guiding students of all ages, from young beginners who enjoy playful and interactive lessons to older students who have achieved Grade 8 or Diploma level with distinction. It brings me great joy to see my students excel, not just in their piano performance but also in their appreciation and understanding of music as a whole.
I hold professional qualifications, including ATCL, LTCL (with distinction), and Grade 8 Music Theory. Beyond these qualifications, my personal passion lies in the works of Romantic period composers, especially Brahms and Chopin.

My teaching is comprehensive, encompassing not only piano technique and performance across different genres but also music history, theory, aural skills, and listening. I believe that a deep understanding of these areas is essential for developing a well-rounded musician.
In addition to solo piano instruction, I also have extensive experience accompanying other instruments, particularly violin, cello, flute, and voice. This collaborative work has further enriched my understanding of music and allows me to support students in ensemble settings and performances.
Music, for me, is more than just a skill to be mastered—it's an emotional language that connects us to something deeper. Through my teaching, I aim to help my students not only play the piano but also experience the rich emotions and stories that music can convey.
