About Mandeep Singh
I am an LSE graduate with an MSc in Mathematics and Computation and a BSc in Mathematics with Economics. I have always been passionate about mathematics, problem-solving and helping others understand difficult ideas. During my studies I discovered how much I enjoy explaining concepts clearly and seeing students gain confidence as everything starts to make sense. I chose to teach because I believe that every student can succeed when they receive the right support and guidance. Helping students move from confusion to real understanding is incredibly rewarding. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to help students develop confidence, strong thinking skills and a positive relationship with the subject.

My Approach to Tutoring:
I take a structured, student-centered approach to teaching. I begin by building a strong foundation; we go through each topic in detail to ensure the core concepts are fully understood. Once this foundation is secure, I shift the focus to exam preparation. We work through past papers and exam-style questions, breaking problems down step-by-step and identifying patterns, connections, and common question types.
This helps students not only understand how to solve a problem, but why the method works thus helps develop both confidence and long-term mastery.
Teaching Methodology:
Clear explanation of concepts with visual and intuitive explanations where appropriate .
Breaking complex problems into manageable steps.
Drawing links between topics to strengthen understanding.
Exam-focused practice using past papers from all major exam boards.
Continuous feedback and targeted improvement to build exam technique.
Lesson Structure:
A typical lesson lasts 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student’s needs. Sessions usually begin with a quick recap of previous material, followed by detailed teaching of new content, and end with guided practice or exam-style questions.
Qualifications and Experience:
I am an LSE graduate with an MSc in Mathematics and Computation and a BSc in Mathematics with Economics.
I have three years of tutoring experience, specialising in:

GCSE Mathematics and Science.
