About Kira
I am a student at Laurentian University who studies Biomedical Physics, so I both love and excel in physics, biology, chemistry and math. I've worked as a tutor for two and a half years with many types of students with different challenges from learning disabilities to time restrictions. I would love to share my knowledge with you to help you on your academic journey.

I think one-on-one support is important for sustained learning. The student and I will work through the activity together; both of us giving ideas to solve the problem. I feel that if a student hits a barrier, there is a benefit in allowing them to mull over a solution for a few minutes. However, if a solution does not occur to the student, I would present the solution to them. I encourage questions constantly throughout this process or as I explain new topics. In another session, we would likely redo a similar problem to ensure understanding.
