About Louise
I hav tutored all troughout my years at university and postgraduate study. I have studied Engligh literature, Engligh language to university Degree level and Acting for Screen and Stage to postgraduate level.
I also babysit, although this doesn't sound like relevant experience, I find it extremely beneficial to my method of teaching, as I am comfortable engaging with all ages of pupils and finding what method of teaching best works effectively for them. I need to engage them on a personal level, rather then the, seeing me as just a tutor, which they can find intimidating and thus find it difficult to relax and concentrate. I need all my pupils to feel utterly at ease with me, we would start the lesson by talking about everyday goings on and how they are, to set a more comfortable environment before the learning begins.

I have a very relaxed yet focused teaching method, the key to successfully teaching a child is to make the lesson As engaging for them as possible, I base my lessons around my pupils style of learning and cater to their needs in order for us both to get the most out of every lesson. It is important to me that the pupil feels as if they aren't permanently in a lesson, if the student is interested and finds the material engaging, then it vastly improves how much they retain and thus learn.
