Songwriting is my true creative outlet, and I've always loved the catharsis and satisfaction I get from putting my experiences into song. I love getting to share this gift with others.

I take an open, warm, and encouraging approach to teaching songwriting. I help students develop their own creative voice while building concrete skills in lyric writing, melody, song structure, chord progressions, and overcoming writer’s block.
Lessons with me will focus on actually creating your songs. I provide specific, constructive feedback and adapt each lesson to the student’s goals and musical interests.
My background in music therapy has taught me to meet students where they are and create a comfortable, judgment-free environment for creativity. I work primarily with beginner and intermediate songwriters, including adults and teenagers who are new to songwriting.
