About Blaise
Hello! I am a native French speaker from Paris, who is passionate about all things French, from the language to the history. I am a prolific reader and aspiring filmmaker too so really enjoy conversing with people (in French of course!) about the latest novels and films. Whilst I haven't given many formal lessons as of yet I am very keen to start. I began tutoring in French conversation late last year with a student who was working towards their DELF B1. I really enjoyed seeing them gain in confidence and fluency and would really like to help others do the same.
My educational background is quite varied. I have completed two 'classes préparatoires' (hypokhâgne and khâgne) in Humanities with a focus on Literature. I then went on to complete a double Masters in Political Sciences and Public Management so I hope I can offer something interesting for any topic of conversation in French!

I am a very patient and understanding teacher and with my educational and work background, I hope that I can connect with most students on something that interests them and keeps them engaged. I have tutored both a university student, helping particularly with high level translation tasks (both French to English and vice versa) and oral presentation topics and also a DELF mature student. My approach to teaching varies depending on the student but I like to offer them the chance to set a structure (if that applies to their educational goal) and if not, I will research interesting topics that I will then shape into the form of a written or spoken exercise depending on the focus of the tutoring. I love to make a good Quizlet flashcards set too!

Blaise has been such a great help in boosting not only my vocabulary but also my confidence too. He is a patient, non-judgemental teacher who thinks hard about what your personal needs are to improve. From beginners to advanced. He is fluent in English which helps when you really get stuck. He takes time to prep each lesson and sends you a relevant Quizlet afterwards so that you can revise the things discussed. Highly recommend.
Blaise helped me perfect my French speaking and writing when I was finishing my french degree. He was a great tutor- well organised, good at explaining things and super friendly. Would recommend to all!
