About Tom
I am an actor and performer, but spent the last three years working across the education sector. I taught humanities in secondary schools in Birmingham, before turning to primary for a year where I worked almost exclusively as a literacy tutor. Here, I helped many pupils learn English fluently for the first time, and this is where I specialise. From there, I began working in Primary, having been a Maths and English Tutor for the last 10 months. Alongside this, I've also worked in several voluntary jobs within the political sector, and stood as an election candidate myself, and am able to help with communication and public speaking if that's what you need!

My teaching method is based on communication, open discussion of ideas and positive reinforcement - there's no problem so big it can't be tackled, and there are always ways to make progress in small steps no matter how hard you find something.
