About Mariam
I am a medical student at Guy's, King's and St Thomas', King's College London with a completed intercalated degree in Neuroscience. During my studies, I have received coveted awards, presented at international conferences and completed research internships at top science institutions.
I have more than four years of tutoring experience and recently taught A-Level Chemistry to high-level students with a renowned company. I also teach Maths, Biology, and Chemistry at GCSE level.
I have taught students as part of school tuition schemes and privately. As a result, I have diverse exposure to tutoring students and have familiarity with the major examination boards.

My teaching method is highly engaging and focussed on developing problem solving abilities in my tutees, enabling them to think for themselves, build on and apply their knowledge. I ensure that my tutee and I have set clear objectives and short-term targets to be met at the end of each session as well as long term targets in terms of desired grades.
Tutoring is a very dynamic process and I believe involves a lot of flexibility/adaptability of teaching style in order to tailor teaching methods to the particular student. However, I usually begin on teaching key concepts and working on the knowledge base by using examples, working through problems together and linking new learning to past understanding. Once the conceptual knowledge is solidified, then I allow my tutee to work independently on selected exam questions and guide them through applying their new found knowledge.
I am grateful to have received outstanding feedback from my students throughout the years and I look forward to helping you/your child achieve their educational goals.
