About Ana
I am a traditionally trained, award-winning painter with 15 years experience and a track record of solo and group exhibitions.
I hold a Master of Fine Art degree from University of the Arts London and I am currently represented by two established galleries.
My style is contemporary hyper-realism and my aim is to teach you simple, proven and clever ways of turning your ideas into strong, accomplished works of art.
Time with me will be the creative highlight of your week. We will talk about great masters, useful exhibitions and opportunities. We will be serious about art but joke about everything else. I want you to feel comfortable and enjoy the privilege of your artistic talent and ambition.
In our classes you will be required to focus, ask questions, work hard and learn. I will encourage you to paint in your free time between classes; this is your opportunity to experiment and play. Our time together will be quite the opposite - classes are carefully planned to provide you with useful information, tips, trick and expert advice, making it a great value for your money and time.

About the lesson

As a traditionally trained painter, I have expert knowledge of hyper-realistic painting. I will teach you how to:
1) observe and understand an object
2) measure and master proportion
3) mix colours and use light to create atmosphere
4) use texture, layering and washes
5) replicate different surfaces and finishes
My lessons are interactive and made to suit your skill level, pace and personality. Lessons last 1.5 hours:
1) in the first 15 minutes of your class, I will review and comment on your homework, point out qualities and errors, and make suggestions supported by visual examples of great masterpieces
2) in the next 60 minutes we will paint a scene together; this is an opportunity for you to intuitively express yourself, while also looking at my process, tricks and techniques, which you can use to improve and develop your style
3) we will spend the final 15 minutes of the class to review the progress and discuss your homework
Other skills I will teach you include:
1) selection and preparation of painting surface
2) basic photography and photoshop skills
3) grid system and image transfering
