About Wentworth
I am a called barrister and practising solicitor with eight years’ experience managing legal cases, including High Court litigation. I achieved a Distinction in the LPC, have over 200 hours of tutoring experience and am a Superprof Ambassador with extensive positive student reviews.
I hold STEP Advanced Certificates in Taxation of Trusts and Estates, and Trusts Law and Practice (International), with a Distinction in the latter. My Philosophy BA focused on ethics and logic.
My teaching is patient and constructive, helping students develop clear, persuasive arguments and independent critical analysis. Drawing on my experience as a lawyer, I explain complex concepts simply and help students identify the legal material relevant to their essay question. I use questions and direct guidance to test assumptions, identify unsupported conclusions and explore counterarguments, helping students strengthen their reasoning and communicate their conclusions clearly. My aim is to build confidence and analytical skills that extend beyond an individual essay.

I help LLB students write clearer, more persuasive essays and develop the critical analysis their assessments require.
I explain complex legal concepts simply and help you identify the key material needed to answer the question. Drawing on my practical experience as a lawyer, we examine competing arguments, test your reasoning and turn your ideas into a focused response.
How I can help
• Planning and structure: Interpreting the question, selecting relevant material and organising your essay around a coherent argument.
• Critical analysis: Questioning assumptions, identifying weaknesses and exploring counterarguments, including the practical, moral and social implications of legal rules where relevant.
• Legal authorities: Using cases, legislation and academic commentary critically, explaining how they support or challenge your argument.
• Persuasive writing: Expressing complex ideas clearly, improving sentence structure and grammar, and developing a logical progression of supported conclusions.
• Marking criteria: Understanding your assessment criteria and how to demonstrate analysis, sound reasoning and independent judgement.
Written essay feedback
Choose between:
• General Essay Feedback: An overall assessment of your argument, structure, analysis, authorities and expression, identifying the main priorities for improvement.
• Detailed Essay Feedback: Paragraph-by-paragraph comments highlighting weaknesses in reasoning, unsupported assertions, missed counterarguments and opportunities for clearer writing or deeper analysis.
My feedback combines questions that challenge your reasoning with direct guidance where helpful, developing skills you can use beyond the individual essay.
