About Livio
I'm a Physics student at the University of Manchester with a deep curiosity about how the universe works and a passion for learning. My long-term ambition is to complete a Master's degree and a PhD in Quantum Physics before pursuing a career as a university researcher and professor. I enjoy challenging myself intellectually and am always looking for opportunities to broaden my knowledge, both within and beyond physics.
Outside of my studies, I have a wide range of interests. I enjoy playing the guitar, particularly jazz and blues, and I have a strong interest in philosophy, as I enjoy exploring different ways of thinking about the world. I'm also passionate about languages and am currently learning French, with the goal of becoming multilingual.
Sport has always been an important part of my life. I regularly play football and basketball, and I previously competed in rowing at a professional level. These experiences have taught me discipline, resilience, teamwork, and the importance of consistent effort—qualities that I also apply to my academic life.
I'm someone who enjoys solving difficult problems, learning new skills, and constantly improving. Whether it's tackling a challenging physics problem, learning a new piece on the guitar, or studying a new language, I find satisfaction in pushing myself and continuing to grow.

Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to their individual needs, goals, and current level of understanding. My approach is highly interactive and focuses on developing genuine problem-solving skills rather than simply memorising formulae or methods. I use clear, well-structured slides to introduce and explain concepts, followed by carefully selected examples and exam-style questions that allow students to apply what they have learned. Throughout the lesson, students are encouraged to ask questions at any time, and we work through their difficulties together step by step.
As a Physics student at the University of Manchester, I have developed strong analytical and mathematical skills through tackling challenging problems every day. I also understand that academic success is not always straightforward. Throughout my own education, I have faced difficult topics that required persistence, different learning strategies, and consistent practice to master. Those experiences taught me how to break complex ideas into manageable steps, and I now use the same approach to help my students gain confidence and improve steadily.
My aim is not only to help students achieve excellent grades but also to develop the logical thinking, independence, and confidence needed to approach unfamiliar questions. Whether you are preparing for GCSEs or A-Levels, I will provide a supportive learning environment, flexible lesson plans, and practical techniques that help you understand the subject deeply and perform at your best in exams.
