About Maelle

I'm Maëlle, French, based in London. For over 7 years, I've led communications and visibility strategy for listed companies (managed by Octopus Energy, Amber Infrastructure) — audience targeting, LinkedIn Campaign Manager campaigns, SEO, and content creation — to strengthen these companies' visibility and credibility with institutional and retail audiences.

As part of that, I was also responsible for optimising the LinkedIn profiles of senior executives at these companies — full overhauls, content strategy, and for some executives, writing the content directly on their behalf. So I know, first-hand, what makes an executive profile capture attention, build trust, and generate real opportunities.

I also changed companies regularly to grow faster in my career, which meant presenting and making myself visible to new people more often than average — so I understand, from the inside, what actually catches a recruiter's or client's attention when they discover a profile for the first time.

My goal is simple: to make your LinkedIn profile work for you, even when you're not looking at it — visible in the right searches, giving a clear and credible picture of your background, and making people want to learn more.

About the lesson

Your LinkedIn profile is often the first thing a recruiter or client sees — and most profiles aren't optimised at all. I built and led LinkedIn strategy (content, audience targeting, campaigns) for listed companies in London (managed by Octopus Energy, Amber Infrastructure), and as part of that role, I was also responsible for optimising the LinkedIn profiles of senior executives at those companies — full profile rewrites, dedicated content strategy, and in some cases, writing the content myself on their behalf.

That means I have direct, hands-on experience of what makes a senior profile capture attention, build trust, and generate real opportunities — not just theory on "how to optimise your profile."

What I've learned building these strategies at a company level applies very directly to an individual profile: a LinkedIn profile follows the same logic as a brand strategy — capture attention in seconds, be clear about your value, and make the right person (recruiter, client, partner) want to go further. Most profiles simply list job titles instead of telling a story, and miss the recruiters or clients actively searching for someone like them.
