About Rabeb
Over the last four years I have studied Cognitive Science and Linguistics at the University of Toronto in order to study what I considered to be the fundamental human faculties that allow us to meaningfully interact with the world: cognition and language. Throughout my studies I developed an ambition to learn how communication competence and performance could be optimized to improve people's ability to meaningfully interact with the world -- thereby improving people's social, professional and even health outcomes.
That is why over the last 6 years I sought to help many students who felt English was standing in the way of them achieving their dreams. I help students with short-term goals like improving the English in their coursework, as well as with long-term goals such as improving their vocabulary or their pronunciation.

My philosophy is to join you as a dedicated friend and be a part of your team as we work together towards whatever goal you are set on achieving-- whether that is getting an A on your next assignment, being able to prepare and confidently deliver a fluent speech or to just improve your overall English skills. I believe in us working together setting out measurable goals that are meaningful to YOU from the first meeting, and setting out a timeline for achieving those goals. That way, you will be able to know that you are progressing as we check off milestones along the way!
Nothing is worse than when someone who is supposed to help you JUDGES YOU while you are on the difficult journey to improving your skills in something as difficult to learn as a second language. You can count on me to be nothing but understanding and supportive 100% of the time, because I know what it is like to try to overcome a huge challenge. If you are looking for someone who is interested in unconditionally supporting and motivating you who is also qualified to help you improve the language skills that you need to succeed, I am your girl!
