About Cameron
I am a linguist that speaks Italian and Japanese at intermediate to advanced levels, a certified TEFL teacher, and a current student getting a second degree becasue learning never stops. I have lived in both Italy and Japan for over 18 months total studying in total immersion programs, so I know how to learn languages quickly and effectively. I believe the most important thing about learning a language is building up your confidence and comfort level by making mistakes now, so that you don't make mistakes later when they really matter. These lessons are casual in order to create a more comfortable environment where the student can freely express themselves without fear of judgement when they mistakes.

These lessons are for beginner and intermediate students (JLPT N5-N2) and will be based on your goals as a student (conversation focused, reading/writing focused, combination, test prep). If your goal is solely accent reduction, the lesson will be very specific and consist entirely of speaking practice. My typical lesson would start with listening to a random song in Japanese and writing down all the words you hear. Then we can go over the words and the Kanji for those words. Then depending on your goals and interests, we will proceed with a combination of grammar, vocab, conversation, reading/writing practice, and accent drills.
