About Juan
I have a bachelor's degree in Modern Languages and am familiar with the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), also known as the "Weltlautschrift". I also speak both English and Spanish phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics. My experience as a language teacher has shown me that learning a language is done with all the senses and that students learn best when they experience a language by connecting with the culture. The use of tools such as music, film and literature in a balanced mix, I consider particularly useful. When learning happens unconsciously, it happens on its own. We humans are visual creatures who learn better, faster, and more effectively when we see, hear, and not just read.
