About Ignaty
I became a life coach after a major illness, when as an entrepreneur, public speaker, trainer, and writer, I had to readjust to my new reality. The journey has taken two years so far and I view it as an ongoing process of transformation.
Facing the realities of a life-changing illness gave me great clarity and focused my thoughts on taking control of my future. Rather than being a passenger I decided to plot the course for my future life. I now use that experience to facilitate and guide others through life coaching.
I’ve been teaching various subjects since 2001, trained as a business mentor in 2012, underwent a life coaching course in 2016. Alongside this I set up three businesses, published a series of textbooks, became a chartered linguist, and travelled the world.
What else do I do?
As a Chartered Linguist, I still teach a limited number of Russian and EFL classes and deliver teacher training and workshops.
Director of Russia Local Ltd, I manage a small portfolio of our long-term clients and offer consulting, translation, and language teaching.
Author of a series of unconventional Russian language textbooks used at schools, universities in the UK, Europe, US, India, Russia, I now challenge myself with writing fiction.
Elected member of the Society of Authors Educational Writers’ Group Committee, nominated to the UK Reiki Federation Council, fundraiser and volunteer for Dimbleby Cancer Care, Gift of Life, and Mary’s Living and Giving charities.
My work has led to me appearing in newspapers and on media including: BBC Radio 5 Live, CNN, The Guardian, The Culture Expose, Thomson Reuters, Kurier.
Plus: Southend Learning Network, Regent’s University London, University of East Anglia, and University College London.
My path to date has been varied, challenging, and rewarding, and has given me a vast experience in personal development, setting and achieving goals, dealing with change, and guiding others to define and discover their own personal version of success. I’m overweight and for years I’ve been trying to get rid of those extra pounds – in vain, however, I could never maintain the results. A diet would rid me of three stone, then I would gain weight again – sometimes up to four stone more! I would go on yet another diet and lose three and a half stone, then put it all back on within weeks. Whatever I’d do, my weight would come back again and again.
Meeting Ignaty has changed a lot in my life.
