About Gabrielle
I think learning can be like a puzzle, and my goal is to help individuals gain the tools to take that challenge on with positivity and confidence.
What can be expected from a tutoring session with me? After setting a goal with a learner, we will create a plan to tackle that goal together. Learning is not one-size-fits-all, and I approach tutoring thusly. I also believe in the importance of establishing rapport; I want learners to feel comfortable in their sessions with me and vice-versa.
A little about me: I love a good dad joke, and being goofy is my favorite past-time. I wholeheartedly enjoy seeing people I've tutored progress, and consider this the greatest reward of tutoring. I am a huge animal lover, and have two cats who may make an appearance from time to time. When I'm not tutoring I am usually reading, painting, or exploring my neighborhood.

I utilize an adaptive approach to meet learners where they are by playing to their strengths and preferred learning styles. I want learners to come away from a lesson feeling empowered and with a set of actionable steps to help them progress.
For early and emergent readers (early childhood and elementary) I am able to provide lessons and resources for a variety of skills like phonics, comprehension, and writing.
For learners beyond that, I can provide assistance with comprehension, essay writing, proofreading, grammar, and more.
