About Me – Andie Hi! I’m Andie, a licensed educator with over 8 years of experience helping students succeed in mathematics. I earned my degree from Indiana University and have had the privilege of working with students across all grade levels—from elementary school through high school seniors. My Approach to Tutoring Math can be challenging, but with the right support, every student can learn to master it. I take a student-centered, supportive approach to teaching, focusing on building confidence and deep understanding. My sessions are structured yet flexible, adapting to each student’s learning style and goals. I use clear explanations, real-world examples, and guided practice to make concepts stick—and to show students that math doesn’t have to be intimidating. A typical lesson starts with a review of prior material, followed by focused instruction and problem-solving. We end each session with a quick recap and a plan to keep moving forward. I specialize in topics ranging from basic arithmetic and pre-algebra to algebra, geometry, precalculus, and SAT/ACT prep. I’m a big sports fan, both as a player and a spectator, and I love how athletics teach discipline, strategy, and teamwork—skills that also apply to learning.
