About Maliha
I am currently a Year 12 student studying Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and an EPQ.
My goal is to offer support to students who may be struggling or may just need some extra help possibly due to having poor teachers, just so I can make the journey to getting the desired GCSE grades a little easier. I know what it feels like to be worried and stressed leading up to important exams such as the GCSEs as I have been in the same position before so I will share what best worked for me. Additionally, I will strive to make my lessons enjoyable, interesting and engaging.

I have gotten 9s in GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Sociology and English Literature and 8 in Maths. I have experience being a Subject Mentor for Maths as I taught Year 7 students at my school. I am also part of the senior prefect team so I have experience supporting younger pupils.
I have loads of resources that personally helped me get a 9 in the aforementioned subjects and I will be teaching my subject-specific exam techniques as well as useful tips. I will adjust my teaching methods to fit an individual student’s needs and will be using verbal as well as visual techniques to help students understand along with retain the content being taught. I will try my best to explain the difficult concepts using different approaches. I will be setting small tasks as homework which won’t take too long as I know some students are already overwhelmed with homework from school and will be helping students prepare for important exams such as mocks by setting practice tests.
The typical length of my teaching sessions would be anywhere around 45 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. This would be 1-2 days per week depending on what the student wants.
The lessons are for students from Year 7 to Year 10.
