About Lottie
My name is Lottie and I’m currently studying Geography, English literature, Philosophy and psychology at A-Level.
I’m a well-liked and respected student that often gets picked to help other students in class. I’m patient and hardworking and enjoying teaching others who want to improve in their studies. I try to make the teaching as fun as possible and get the students to interact within the lessons. I want to create a safe place for people who may need a push or support to learn at their own pace in their chosen subject. Having been in that place before I understand how nervious and overwhelmingly reaching out for help can be and I open to all criticism to help improve my teaching and the efficiency of the classes.

I want to learn a bit about the students learning methods before starting classes to learn how them themselves are able to learn best and learn independently. Typical length of a lesson is 30min-90min. We’ll start with a practise test to review where the student is at and what we need to cover, I’ll create worksheet and topic tests at the end of the sessions. Tests will be a mix of verbal and written to engage the students more and help the students practise teaching someone else or back to themselves the topic to gain a greater understanding of what they’ve learnt. I have experience tutoring and volunteering students with their work in and out of school. I do however have little experience tutoring students with learning disabilities but am more than open to helping anyway I can.
