About Sean
Regardless of where a student lies in their studies, with efficient daily practice anything is possible. I have been studying guitar for the last 7 years and the most influential aspect of my development has been having teachers that I could connect and work with to achieve my goals.
During my first year at Algoma University, I achieved a level 8 Royal Conservatory of Music equivalent theory education, played in the university jazz band, and learned numerous jazz and classical pieces. I have continued my studies independently, and plan to go back to my university studies in the summer.
I approach music and education professionally and academically, but I also realize music is supposed to be FUN and from the heart. This aspect of music which comes from the heart is what first intrigued me to begin my academic pursuit of the instrument.
I am inspired to share my knowledge in an easy-to-understand and exciting way, so that practicing, playing, and learning about music can be a highlight of others' lives as well.

My methodology is oriented around weekly lessons and daily practice.
During lessons, we will set goals to work towards and decide on practice strategies to achieve those goals. A general focus on learning songs, techniques, relevant theory, and whatever else interests the student. I am most well versed in jazz and classical guitar, but I am a capable teacher of pop and rock as well.
hour-long lessons over Zoom, or in-person.

I have designed my rates in relation to my professional teachers, as well as where my investments in the instrument have led me. Because I have less experience teaching than my mentors, I have decided to charge half as much.
