About Jack
Hello! My name’s Jack Chapman and I’m a professional Data Analyst with a lifelong passion for Science and Mathematics, and love helping my students develop their own appreciation for Maths.
I hold a degree in Experimental Physics from the University of York and have been working as an Analyst for 6+ years — communicating complicated Mathematical concepts into clear, digestible, and effective insights within the business teams of large gaming and finance companies.
I have been tutoring students in Maths for over 10 years — first by leading tutoring sessions for fellow students throughout GCSE and more recently supporting fellow coworkers in Maths certification requirements as part of their career advancement initiatives.

I have experience supporting students of all ages and experience levels and will work with you to develop sessions tailored specific to your academic and/or professional goals.
In my sessions, I emphasize the value in breaking down problem areas to the base logic that underlines the mathematical concepts so we can focus on cementing an understanding of how they work. That way you feel like you really “get it” and can trust your foundations as we build your skills and comfort — and you never have to worry about memorization again!
I believe that exploring Mathematical concepts can be fun and incredibly rewarding which is why my sessions are affordable and take a straightforward approach.
When you’re feeling stuck, it can be really difficult to overcome those hurdles without some outside support. I’m look forward to working through those hurdles together!
