About Ellie
I am a patient and friendly tutor who enjoys helping students feel more confident in History. I achieved a Grade 8 at GCSE, having improved from a Grade 4, which gave me a strong understanding of how to progress and improve results over time. I know how challenging History can feel at first, so I aim to explain things clearly and support students at their own pace. I am approachable, encouraging, and focused on helping students build both their understanding and their confidence.

My lessons are designed to be friendly, supportive, and relaxed, so students feel comfortable learning and asking questions at their own pace. I aim to create a positive environment where History feels clear and manageable rather than stressful or overwhelming.
During lessons, I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand explanations. I also help students develop strong essay-writing skills by guiding them through structure, analysis, and exam technique step by step. Alongside this, I encourage regular discussion and practice so students can build confidence in expressing their ideas clearly.
Each lesson is adapted to the individual student’s needs, whether they want help understanding content, improving their grades, or preparing for exams. My overall goal is to make learning enjoyable while helping students steadily improve and feel more confident in History.
